Question on the Millenium Benefits Act, my husband was recently dropped from my health insurance, he was already a patient at the VA for his hep-C follow ups since 2005. He is tier 5 or 6, non-service conn, we are 40 miles from VA hospital, they said in a life-threating situtuation I can take him to a local hospital but what are my real chances of the VA paying for this? He can't get on Medicare July1 but until then has been denied by 3 other insurances. What to do?? Thanks, Ellen

Hello- I am Mike and am a former 101 Airborne soldier. Just wanted to say thanks for the info. and that I wish all vets could become a united front. This is the only way to overcome the good old boy system called the VA. This website is a good start. I have read all the comments from everyone. Yet, I have not seen any ideas on how to expand upon this good idea of open exchange of information. I am guilty as well; any attorneys out there have any good ideas on how to accomplish this? Lets put our heads together and help each other. Enough of "thanks for your help, I got what I wanted" and lets put together a system that is more effective than well, for example The American Legion or The DAV. This way may be vets can get what they deserve and are legally entitled to. I have much more to say, but will end with God bless you all! Mike
